Biography:
Deepti Tantry is a 3rd year medical student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As the president of the South Asian Medical Students Association during her second year, she helped found the health fair initiative, working with leadership from the temple community as well as Hopkins faculty to develop a curriculum and then working with a team of dedicated medical students to build, organize, and launch the health fairs. She plans to apply for internal medicine residency next year and hopes to continue working on public health and culturally relevant healthcare issues throughout the rest of her career.
