Biography:
Based at Algoma University in Northern Ontario, Dr. Shaw leads interdisciplinary research examining how social, structural, and technological factors influence health outcomes and access to care. Her scholarship spans health informatics, biomedical ethics, epidemiology, disability studies, and Indigenous data governance. With more than three decades of experience in healthcare, research, and higher education, she is committed to translating evidence into policy and practice that promotes inclusion, accessibility, and equitable health outcomes for diverse communities across Canada.
