Biography:
Pratik Sharma is a high school student researcher (Williamsville East High School, Class of 2027) and a Research Assistant in the Department of Medicine at the University at Buffalo. His research analyzes WHO State Party Annual Report data to examine temporal trends in national health-system capacities for prevention, detection, response, and sustainability. He is a co-author of a peer-reviewed study in PLOS Global Public Health (2026) on health system capacity across Africa. Motivated by an interest in global health and health equity, he is drawn to using population-level data to understand how health systems strengthen over time.
