Abstract:
Nurses and Caretakers are backbone and lifeline of healthcare system. Shortage of 8 million nurses and quality Caretakers is big challenge globally. Globalization created more opportunities for skilled nurses in different sectors. Poor educational infrastructure, shortage of skilled nurses and caretakers lead to medical negligence. 3D and Virtual Reality–an affordable and effective Technology provides, an ideal opportunity for Nursing fraternity and Caregivers, to learn or train Terminology, to gain exposure to new scenarios, and gain a better perspective on various critical issues through immersive experiences before practical on patients; without the associated risk of participating, in an actual case at a hospital. By Implementing Basic Fidelity model in Nursing Institutes, Hospitals and Old Age Homes for Nursing and Caretakers will avoid medical errors, repeat admissions and deliver better patient outcome.
