Title : Specific strategies over the life course for early identification, prevention, treatment, and long-term support

Abstract:

An emerging body of knowledge continues to improve knowledge of the correlations among developmental brain adaptations, trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Trauma and ACEs are associated with a spectrum of mental health disorders including for example addiction, anxiety and attention deficit disorders. Through examining the common brain adaptations among disorders, paired with developmental life impacts, specific strategies over the life course for prevention and care will be presented.
