Neural Rehabilitation

Neural Rehabilitation

Neural Rehabilitation is a specialized field of healthcare focused on helping individuals recover or adapt following injury or disease of the nervous system. It is commonly used for patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological disorders. The goal of neural rehabilitation is to restore functional abilities, improve independence, and enhance quality of life. Rehabilitation programs are multidisciplinary and may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, cognitive training, and psychological support. Advances in neuroplasticity research show that the brain can reorganize and form new connections, enabling recovery even after significant injury. Technologies such as robotics, virtual reality, and brain–computer interfaces are increasingly used to support rehabilitation. Early intervention and personalized therapy plans are key factors in achieving better neurological recovery outcomes.
