Occupational Health Physicians
Occupational Health Physicians specialize in protecting and promoting the health of workers by preventing work-related injuries and diseases. They assess workplace hazards, conduct health surveillance, and provide guidance on occupational risk reduction. Their work includes evaluating physical, chemical, biological, and psychosocial risks, as well as managing occupational illnesses and injuries. In public health, occupational health physicians contribute to safer work environments, policy development, and regulatory compliance. They collaborate with employers, safety professionals, and workers to implement preventive strategies and health promotion programs. By reducing workplace risks, occupational health physicians help improve worker wellbeing, productivity, and economic stability while lowering the burden of occupational disease on healthcare systems.
